I love my Facial Sea Sponges so much!

I use sea sponges after I use my Hallelujah Oil Cleanser. Let me tell you a little about the history or my favorite sponge and why we should all use them in our beauty routines.

Now this is a cool and different item. This is from Tarpon Springs Florida. In 1905, Greek sponge divers were brought to the area, and that is history. The city of Tarpon Springs is located on the Anclote River less than a mille from the Gulf of Mexico.

These natural and sustainable Facial sponges are so luxurious! Perfect for lightly exfoliating skin, cleansing dirt, sweat, impurities, pollutants, and dead skin cells for fresh, glowing skin. Plus, they contain natural minerals which are beneficial for the skin. Sustainably harvested from Florida. They are gentle enough to be used daily, yet have the perfect amount of exfoliation. Ready for a cool fact, they are naturally anti-bacterial. They do not harvest bacteria ever. Wahoo, right!

These babies are fabulous for our skin and let me tell you why. It's a Sea Sponge and there's one ingredient. You guessed it, Sea Sponge. A beautiful natural product and its a light exfoliation for our skin that makes our skin glow. Exfoliation helps products penetrate, helps skin look youthful, and they last 6 months to a year. Durability depends on how much love you show your Sea Facial Sponge.

Responsibly harvested and a naturally renewable resource, these sponges are hand-cut by divers to ensure that enough of the base remains intact so that the sponge can regrow. Studies show that areas harvested actually increase the population density of sponges. Sponges are biodegradable and can be added to the compost once they've reached the end of their life cycle.
Natural sea sponges are a renewable resource, and they are so much better for our environment than plastic poufs for our face made from synthetic fibers. Not only do the plastic-derived products cause environmental pollution and consume a lot of natural resources to produce, but they have to be thrown away at the end of their lifecycle. Once in a landfill, they continue to break down and contribute to micro-plastic contamination in our soil, water sources, and oceans.
Since these sponges grow naturally in the sea, each sponge is unique in shape, size, and appearance. As you'll see in the photos, the sponges can vary quite a bit in appearance - no two are exactly the same!
Sponge care: Rinse completely after each use and air dry. Sponges have complex and delicate fibers and must be handled with care. Never twist or pull the sponge, and do not rub too vigorously on the skin. Gently squeeze the sponge to remove any excess water, oil, or soap, never wring or twist water and soap out. Twisting, pulling, or vigorously using the sponge will cause damage and tear the fibers, which will make the sponge fall apart. After each use, allow sponge to dry completely. These sponges are durable and will last for 6 months to a year if handled properly. You can use 2 tbsp. baking soda to approximately 16 oz of water. Leave sponge in solution for at least 2 hours. Let air dry and its a nice deep clean. Never use ammonia or bleach. Once they have reached the end of their life cycle, they can be easily composted instead of ending up in the landfill like synthetic alternatives.
Listing is for one sea bath sponge unless otherwise noted. Please note that sponges in photos are representative, and since each sponge naturally varies in color, shape, and size, the sponge that you receive will likely look different from the photos.
